How refreshing that looking at paintings requires nothing more than some light and a pair of eyes ,,, no passwords, codes or upgrades. Painting might be old technology, but the fascination lives on for so many people and Roberts is just as fascinated now , as when he began working in oils over 60 years ago.

He’s a Woodbridge local and delights in local subjects from the beautiful old town as well as landscapes and portraits of people - sometimes with a touch of humour. He avoids sticking slavishly to a ‘style’ because he relishes the choices of subject and treatment as some of the greatest freedoms left in this politically correct and safety conscious world. Of course the success of all this is in the final viewing - no password required….’
