John Roberts is a well-known local artist who has worked in and around Woodbridge for 60 years but never gets over the excitement he originally felt arriving here all those years ago…”the quirky architecture is a wonderland of pictures everywhere you look”, he will tell you. And that’s before he goes into ecstasies about the river.So the old town and waterfront figure prominently in his body of work but he does occasionally wander further afield and tackles new subjects. Indeed, wandering as the fancy takes him is hisview of life in general and is reflected in the range of different styles that his idea of freedom can bring.
