Peter Partington
Peter is well known as a wildlife artist and illustrator. His first love is painting in watercolour but has been exploring oils more recently. He also produces dry-point etchings and sculpts in clay when the mood takes him.
His work is widely collected. He has had numerous one -man exhibitions in Britain and abroad.
He has illustrated many books, the latest being the 'Secret Lives' series of four books, which include 'The Secret Lives of Garden Wildlife' and the 'Britain's Wildlife', published by Helm. He is currently working on a full colour volume of the birds of Suffolk.
He has travelled widely and has participated in a number of international conservation projects. He has been an elected member of the Society of Wildlife Artists for many years.
He is happiest in his studio when painting is going well or out in nature with his sketchbook recording the power and the beauty of birds and other wildlife in their habitat.
He has now lived in Suffolk longer than he has anywhere. Its rolling countryside, its wild coast, wide estuaries and rich nature reserves are a continual source of inspiration to him.
