Jill was known for many years for her intricately embroidered landscapes, but is now concentrating on painting with different mediums.
After her successful exhibition last year at Artspace she is returning with a new selection of watercolours, this time based solely on her ramblings around her homeground in Suffolk.
“It has been necessary to stay close to base,so walking has been my joy. With an artist’s eye everything is viewed through the lens of artistic possibility, so every journey is filled with the anticipation and excitement that I can find something to inspire me to paint.I am rarely disappointed, and hope that by painting I can transport the viewer to that place to experience some of the beauty that Suffolk has offered me.”
