Anne Townshend

Anne has always been interested in making art. She started printmaking only recently, becoming particularly involved with relief print in the form of linocut. The discipline of printmaking, with its inbuilt boundaries and the necessity of refinement mark making continues to fascinate her; as she translates sketch to carving. Her Boxford studio, with its Albion printing press, is open by appointment. Anne says: ‘making art is my pleasure, and I hope it gives others pleasure too’.
