Members of The Ipswich Art Society show Small works
Here Maggi looks for the textures and patterns in Natural History collections, plants and landscapes. She is currently enjoying working with overlapping colours to create depth and is inspired by the simplicity and economy of mid 20th century artists and designers.
The Ipswich Art Society is one of the country's foremost exhibiting organisations for painters, sculptors, printmakers and ceramicists and has played a distinguished role in the cultural life of Suffolk's county town since 1874.
Each year we hold these regular exhibitions:
The Annual Open Call Exhibition for Members, Friends and the general public.
The Anna Airy Exhibition and Award for young artists from 16 - 20 years of age.
The Small Works exhibition for Members and Friends.
From time to time we hold other exhibitions with partners and smaller groups of artists.
You don't have to be a practising artist to join us. The Society welcomes all those who have an interest in the arts. Become a Friend and receive invitations to Private Views and other events while supporting the arts in the region.
