COLOUR COLOUR COLOUR COLOUR COLOUR
I live in Suffolk. I do long walks in Suffolk. Then I come to the studio and try to paint that experience. The weather, heat, cold, light, summer, winter, colour. But, there’s always that point where the paint takes over. It has its own momentum, its own life. It can often disappoint, but, sometimes, just sometimes it captures that day – the time – the memory - and that gives me great joy.
Paintings - Barrie Houghton
Over the last few years I discovered Bluebird Pottery at Sudbourne Park. I have learnt to work with clay, and the glazes, mostly working by hand and not on the wheel. I have tried to find out what works and what does not. Some of what I am pleased with will relate to Barrie’s paintings.
